Run along the Hangang River and in Seoul Forest, then finish with a shower for your daily routine
The Seoul Metropolitan Government (SMG) announced that shower facilities at Fit Station, a workout community space inside Ttukseom Station on Line 2, will be open for free starting Fri, Jul. 18 until November to let runners and cyclists cool down after outdoor workouts.
Shower facilities at Fit Station are divided into separate areas for men and women, each with five booths. The space also includes changing areas and basic amenities such as towels and hair dryers. While the showers are available for free, long-term locker rental costs ₩10,000(Est. $8 USD) per month.
The city will operate the shower facilities on a pilot run and review user feedback to shape future plans for other subway-based wellness spaces, such as Run Base and Fun Station. Based on these results, public showers may be gradually expanded to additional Subway Innovation Project sites, including Gwanghwamun, Hoehyeon, and World Cup Stadium Stations.
Reservations are required and can be made online via Naver Booking (Good Habit PT Seongsu). Each booking allows for 30 minutes of use. For group reservations, call 010-9614-1531 or contact Good Habit PT Seongsu (“좋은습관PT 성수”) via KakaoTalk.
Seoul is transforming subway stations into active community spaces through the Fun Station program, part of the broader Subway Station Innovation Project. So far, it has opened Runner Station at Yeouinaru on Line 5, Fit Station at Ttukseom on Line 2, and Smart Move Station at Meokgol on Line 7. The plan is to continue expanding Fun Station locations so that working out becomes part of daily life for anyone, building toward a healthier Seoul.
